Date Visited: July 11, 2017 Program: Book Babies The first thing I have to say is, if you have kids and you haven't been to Shaler North Hills Library. It NEEDS to be on your list. It has a HUGE play area and many many events for kids of all ages unless you have children with sensory issues. There were many kids there and it was very loud, so probably not the best place for a child sensitive to noise and many other kids. Each one will get you half an hour, so it's pretty reasonable. I was about 10 minutes early and had no problem finding a place to park. First thing you will notice is that this library is very new. Founded in 2013, this is a very intimate space that has a cafe vibe. This children's area was closed due to some sort of construction or leak issue, so we were in a back area. It it not in the front up the garden walkway. I know this might seem silly but after driving by, I thought it was in front and spent a few minute searching for it since the path doesn't circle the whole way around the building.   First it should be noted that on Fridays this library has lower attendance of their morning programs by children.
